I never knew the RIAA sued mp3.com a while back. If you didn't know either you can read about it here.

I have not seen anyone of them since about 1:30 PM Thursday. I assume them to be dead from the explosion of the dsl installation. I wish them well in thier new life may bandwidth be plentiful and lag free where ever they are.

As a kid I was really honest. Stupidly honest. I was so incredibly stupid that when a cashier forgot to charge me for a piece of candy I would tell them. Normal people aren't rich and famous and can't afford to throw away money and light up with a C-note. Stealing from people is still wrong to me, and I know how much it sucks to be screwed that way. I would rather torch something of mine than to have someone else steal it and never get it back. tonight i was trying to program in the labs, and i had a partner (who was doing most of the work.) i saw this small black bag on the table and i opened it. daaaaaammmnn....it was a hella nice discman with headphones, some crappy cd's and some extra batteries. i asked the guy if he was religious, he said no, then i put the small bag in my backpack. he said that he would never do something like that because the item is such an expensive thing. but did i feel guilty? no. i had a new discman. was the conservation of sucking going my way? no. some girl walked in 30 minutes later and was looking in that section. then she left and came back five minutes later and looked again. then she left. i had a fat smile cause i knew she was looking in the wrong place. she shoulda been looking in my bag. my lab partner said, "so you're not gonna do the right thing?" "oh well, i'll let you decide."
damn. he's a bastard. i took the discman out and put it back where i found it. (i was planning to take it later again when the guy left.) it was about time to go, and the guy said, "now why don't you finish your good deed and bring it to the office?" i knew that if i didn't he would, so i might as well finish my good deed. i brought it there and the worker behind the desk said, "oh, it must be what that girl was looking for." my lab partner said, "well, at least now you won't have a cloud over your head." hah! yea right. i have the cloud over my head that i had a discman and i lost it. nope. life remains the way it is. but yes, i did do the right thing.

I have been using opera more and more now I feel my mind wasting away.
On the celery I use IE and just ie unless there is some wack reason to start up netscape, mozilla or opera like to rig a poll to my favor.
How ever given the unimaginable power of my 486 I use opera more caue it seems to run faster (after the initial loading of the prog which is as slow as netscape) than ie does and in ver 4 beta 3 very stable no crash and I can use cookies correctly. Bad is that there is a home page set to some lame place called myopera.com and I can not change that.
I am typing this post from opera and it has no probs at all here. I might do a real review on this when it is finished but as beta it seems to be doing very well. Much better than mozilla crap.

i found out some terrible news yesterday. well, aren't you surprised. i honestly thought that the part III of the "does life suck?" series wouldn't come so soon. but hey, then again, we're talking about me here. at my old high school there were people that i didn't like. well, duh, i'm sure a lot of you didn't like a lot of people in your high school, too. as an example, i'll talk about this one guy and how he treats me (and probably others that are "dumber" than him). let's call him
oh, and guys, i woulda kicked his ass.
so now i'm in college and he's in the same college as me. funny. i saw him about 2 months ago and he said hi. then he came over and we just talked about regular stuff, like classes. i felt weird. i don't want to say that we put our differences aside, but it was an ok talk. just regular and stuff. did we bury the hatchet?
now, no way can i have a "does life suck" without talking about my old gf. that's the whole reason life sucks.
fast forward about two months to now. i'm in a programming class and one of the guys i work with has tiny as a roommate. he went to my high school, but i don't know him very well. i guess you could say we just started being acquaintances because of this class. this guy's telling me about his living situation and says that all the people he's living with are gonna split up. they just couldn't get along. i asked him where he was living, and he named and apartment. then i asked where tiny was living, and he said, "you sure you wanna know?"
HOLD IT!!!!! TIME OUT!!!! what the hell does that mean? i mean, why wouldn't i want to know?
with my lightning fast thinking skills i thought, "oh geez. it's gonna be something about jan, i know it."
i said, "uhhh...sure. i wanna know."
he says, "he's living with jan next year. SHE ASKED him."
right then and there a knife was stabbed into my heart. this...this...this tiny dick boy was gonna live with jan.
not knowing how i could breathe any longer, i swallowed hard and uttered, "oh..uh..really?"
he says, "yea. we were supposed to live together. but then jan called one day and asked him to live with her next year. tiny says that he's been dating her the past couple weeks and thinks this can really help his chances with her."

DATING?!?!? and this guy, of all guys! she knows how i feel about him because when we were together the subject of him just came up one day and i told her how i felt about him. i knew i would have to face the day when jan started dating or going out with other guys, but i always thought it would be some guy i wouldn't know. and now i found how she's dating again, AND who it's with AND with tiny dick boy. AND after just a couple weeks she asks him to live with her? to move in with her? is this too much for a young man like me with an already mentally unstable mind? yes. yes...it is. life is just treating me worse than shit now. just when i think things can't get worse. man...*sigh*... i just... can't.... believe... this.

If you haven't noticed, there have been a longer break between playoff games this year than last year. The main reason is money. NBC wants to make more money from tv. So you ask why the Kings will win. The Kings will win not because they are a better team, or even because they are playing at home. They will win because the game will be rigged. Its obvious from that the last game(not that I even watched it) that the Lakers were just letting the Kings win. Tonight the same thing will happen again, the Lakers will lose because NBC wants to make more money. There will be a game 5 and it will be on NBC sometime this weekend where the Kings will lose. Watch tonight's game and you will see that I am right. I am always right. NBA is not like wrestling where everything is real and matches aren't riggled.. hahaha.

Wow today after my test I walked out to take the bus home and there is a group out there trying to help homeless people.
Well usually such groups ignore me cause I dress like a bum. But for some odd reason a person from the group actually came up to me and asked me some questions and afterwards asked me to sign some type of petition. Well the person who was talking to me asked me a very odd question. She asked if I had ever been to Austrailia. That question just threw me off track cause it is such a wack question I have not heard mention of my trip for so long.
Apparently she is one of the people who traveled with me on that trip 7 years ago. Wow I guess I look like as I did when I was 12 to every1 not just me. It is nice that I was remembered as the kid who always played my Gameboy. I would hate to think I was remembered cause I got car sick.
Now that I think about it I really miss some of those people. They were crazy crackpots who jumped on self racial before I ever got into it. Ahhh what great crazy times.

I went to MS's website today in an effort to check for any updates on their media player, which I'm fighting with to try and read dat files for some VCD's. It seems whenever someone rips them off the cd I can play them, but on some wackness, though mostly from Neon's I can't find juarez in HK's ass I cannot play the file. So while going around I find Windows Media Player 7, released March 27th, 1 month and 5 days ago.
What's actually different about this is that Microsoft has installed a bunch of new features, attempting to make their media player all in one, and eliminate the need for any others, though I doubt it will happen. First they included a play list, along with a skin feature, and an MP3 codec.
I dl the 6mb sucker and fire it up. I run the program twice because at the end of setup it claims that setup failed, but realizing I get no errors, I run the program anyway. It works fine, figures. MS gets a low install score from me on this one. I like the msg telling you to only install on a sys made for testing. But hey, that's what we're here for right? The rest of the install goes by fine, and it may be because this is an Alpha, but MS actually lets you choose from *All* of the components, including codecs and the actual player itself to install. Don't expect this on your general idiots release though. Also there is an option to install only the new codecs, or to reinstall the whole bit altogether. There's a warning telling you to absolutely not reinstall WMP6.4 over 7. This shouldn't be a prob as I plan to ditch the bastard once I'm done anyway.
Once I start the thing up, I notice a rather long load time, but it's natural because I have no ram. Running a video, I realize they weren't lying about the new codec, and at least to my fuzzy chink vision the video looks a little better. On the other hand the scroll bar doesn't work, at least in fullscreen mode, and clicking on it just resets the movie back to zero. The skin feature works excellently, and even though they only give you three crappy skins to work with, the way they implement the system and resize/reshape the video window to fit the skin is excellent. The media library is a good idea, and the interface is also very good as it is stolen straight from windows explorer, but with different graphics. I forsee problems with this system however, as it records all files you play, and it is rather unclear how to clear the cache. Also I can envision lots of people getting screwed because I had to uncheck a box that makes your file get wiped from your HD if you remove it from your media library. I didn't even bother with the mp3 player, but at least the tabs on the thing looked good. As far as it goes, though, I wouldn't want a fat ass piece of crap playing mp3 for me, and winamp is probably the best player I could have. Unless you have Kjolfol or something. Hahaha.
Besides some other "features" involving windows connecting your computer and automatically dling the new version of the software for you, the whole thing works pretty well. Maybe you have heard some people talk about how Windows was just ripped of the Mac O/S. Well Gates must have figured what was good is gold, because HE DID IT AGAIN. Windows media player is straight rip off of QuickTime 4, right down to the long ass load time. Sure the graphics and color are different, but if you click around you'll realize it's almost the exact same thing with some MS logos slapped here and there to increse the suckage on your comp. It's stolen right down to the bit where you click on the sides for a drop down menu thing. Oh yea, "compact" mode takes up about 1/5 of my screen at 1024, which should be standard res for most people. Plus there's a window in the corner with the MS logo on it taking another 1/20th of my screen, which can't be put in the taskbar or anything. It sits in your viewable window. very Annoying.
This is where the true ownage comes in, however. When it came time to uninstall, I expected blue screens like crazy and possibly staying up all night trying to get my computer running again. Or at the very least having to reinstall WMP6.4 Here's what went wrong:
Nothing. Nothing went wrong. WTF? Nothing crashed, died, exploded, anything. My working theory now is that my computer exploded, and I'm in heaven or something and when I go to school tomorrow I will have all A's in school, and be able to pimp any girl that looks in my general direction.
Overall I wouldn't suggest running this program unless you have over 64mb of ram and around a 500mhz or up CPU. This thing really sucks up the cycles, and the RAM.
Since my feelings toward this program vary greatly, I will use a separate rating system for each component, like my Worms Armageddon review. Keep in mind these are written for the Alpha, not the beta, and certainly not the final.
Install/Uninstall: 500 out of 500 pissed off tech support customers.
Graphics: 43 out of 45 Bored college losers with Photoshop.
Functionality: 20 out of 30 Useless features.
Originality: 2 out of 60 Stolen ideas.
Rationality: 1 out of 9999 Deluded rich white guys named THE MAN.
Remember this is based on a pre-beta release version of the software, and that by the time it gets to the general public it will probably be much worse. Here at Mad Ownage we screw ourselves over so you don't have to. In fact, if we ever piss you off don't bother nuking, spamming, sending virii, beating us down with a bat, whatever. Because WE TEST SOFTWARE and we will be ready to beat your candy ass into the ground because STONECOLD SAYS SO.

I've decided against playing Half Life multiplayer. I just don't see it. A good portion of the weapons are hit scan, and I really really hate that. it's fun single player because you can smack down enemies by peeking around corners, but multiplayer it's just no fun for me. Leading opponents into a rocket to the face is bad ass. So what'll it be? what else. Quake 3 and / or Unreal Tournament. let's see what community drags me in.
