Lewis Carroll 1832 - 1898 英國一位摺紙的名作家。
Friedrich Froebel 1782 - 1852 他是德國的幼稚園創辦人，把摺紙納入教材。
Charles Gibbes 1914 他是英國人，利用摺紙與生病的小孩溝通。
Harry Houdini 1874 - 1926 一位摺紙的名魔術師。
Maying Soong 1948 宋美英 曾出版一書名為『老與幼的中國藝術摺紙』。
Miguel de Unamuno 1864 - 1936 西班牙的作家和哲學家。曾創做多種摺紙動物。在1902年出書一本，內有摺紙文章。
Vincente Solorzano Sagredo ??? 阿根廷的摺紙名家，及是用西班牙文出版摺紙手冊的作家。
George Rhoads ??? 他是美國的摺紙高手。
Arthur Stone ???-1939 英國人，用摺紙於數學遊戲，及是 FLEXAGONS 的發明者。
Ismael Adolfo Cerceda ??? 阿根廷人，是飛刀手，在表演前利用摺紙鬆弛神。
Robert Harbin
(Ned Williams)		 1909-1978 南非人，曾任第一屈英國摺紙學會會長。他是有名的魔術師。在1956年出版『魔術摺紙』一書，有住於西方人仕進一步欣賞摺紙藝術。

 1917-1999 He was a free-lance researcher and writer. He was the appointed Writer in Residence at the University of California from 1964 to 1965
  • Started serious research into paper folding in 1945
  • Complied the first Bibliography of paper folding in 1952
  • Established links of paper folders between South America and Europe and North America
  • Arranged the exhibition for Akira Yoshizawa at Amsterdam in 1955
  • Started the foundation of origami movement which continues today by liaising with Robert Harbin and Lillian Oppenheimer.
