Ol' Blue Speaks

Have you ever turned off your car and heard a faint ticking noise? Some people say it is the engine cooling, but it is really car-speak.

Try it out for yourself. Drive your car around for a while (the warmer the weather, the better this works), then turn the car off and listen to it. Sounds a bit like Morse Code, doesn't it? Try translating it and see what your car has to say to you!

Here are some unedited translations of Ol' Blue's tickings, along with my interpretations.

"tan dfor bad." "Tan Ford bad." I have no idea what this means.

"hrut in bck." "Hurt in back." I later found two large holes in the trunk.

"kid pik stike." "Kid pick sticky." Neighborhood kids were picking the stickers off Ol' Blue.
