Seasonal ceramics classes offered for children and adults throughout the year.

Ceramics class2
  • Children's projects are chosen by Debbie (she brings assorted seasonal figures).
  • Adult's projects will be able to be completed within two hours! There will be 3-4 projects to choose from with varying prices.
  • All classes must be paid for upon registration. No refunds are given. *For no-shows, the project will be kept for pickup at a later date and they can take it home to complete with their own supplies.
  • Advise participants to wear old t-shirts/smocks in case they get paint on themselves. (Some colour af ceramic paint are difficult to remove from clothing!)

Summer Reading Program

Travel through the Library![Books]

  • Promotes independent reading all summer
  • Offers incentives (prizes!) to read more!
  • Runs from July - September
  • Registration starts in June
  • Limited registration for this FREE event
  • Everyone who participates receives a certificate of achievement!

Community Access Program

"Industry Canada's Community Access Program aims to ensure that Canadians have affordable, public access to the Internet and to the great potential this offers for social and economic development."

At the Essa Centennial Library (Angus), the CAP program will be running for the summer (until Sept. 1) Here are some of the things that you can gain from this exciting program:

Cybercamps
  • free computer and Internet training for all ages!
  • training sessions are available until Sept. 1
  • learn how to use browsers, search engines, hyperlinks, and more advanced topics such as webpage design
  • more general computer training is also available
  • all learning is done one on one, or in small groups with a university student as tutor
Web Page Design
  • free web page design for local businesses with a desire to expand to the Internet
"What every baby sitter should know"
  • fun and engaging computer based training from St. John Ambulance
Help finding employment related information on the Internet
  • learn how to register with Campus Worklink: NGR, use ruraljobs.com, Jobbank Canada, and other useful resources found on the Internet
Y2K
  • this is the place to find out what you need to know about the Millenium Bug and how it might affect your business
