Annual Programming Events
This page contains a general overview of all the programs offered at the library over the course of each year (some changes may occur). All program require pre-registration and payment of applicable fees. For more information about any program, the dates they will be held, or the fees please call the library branch nearest you.

Reading Program
Our summer reading program kicks off in July and runs through until the end of August. Themes change each year and there are a number of prizes awarded. Each participant receives a certificate. This program is held at both the Angus and Thornton Branches. Open to children ages 6-12.

Storytimes!
This program is open to children 3-5 and is held at both branches. Four fabulous sessions are held each year. For each session there is a limit of 15 children. Storytime features tons of stories, games, songs, videos and crafts.

Ceramic Workshops for children and Adults
The ceramic workshops are a great way to get to know other people in your community. Children's classes are held at both branches, whereas the adult session are only held at the Angus branch. Seasonal themes include garden art, Hallowe'en and Christmas. Class sizes are limited.
Ontario Public Library Week
The Ontario Public Library Week is celebrated at both branches. The week is a celebration of Public Libraries and their valuable contributions to our lives. The week includes contests, prize draws, overdue fine amnesty and lots more. The happens every 3rd week of October.

Booksale
The library wants you to take our books home and keep them. That is if you buy them from the booksale table! The booksale is now a permanent feature at the library.

CAP: Community Access Program
Wondering if you'll ever learn how to use the net? Are your kids bored out of their minds yet? If so, cheer up! During most of the summer and fall a student is in the library to teach you how to use computers or the internet.
