Renee-chan's Fushigi Yuugi Fanfics

Having made the choice to stay and read a fic or two, you approach the bookcase on the left. The manuscripts here look much newer than the ones on the other shelf, and there aren't quite as many of them. As you approach, you notice that there are, in fact, three volumes. The titles you see are: Sacred Trust, Osozaki Blooms, and The Wind Beneath My Wings. You now have to make another choice: which one to read first? Perhaps you should read the descriptions on the inside covers first...

Note: Any part that is not a link, is a part in progress.

The Wind Beneath My Wings

YAOI

This is a short and sweet songfic about Hotohori and Nuriko, told from Hotohori's point of view. It is set to "The Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler. This fic takes place just after the seishi leave on the boat to go to Hokkan. There are mild spoilers - mostly character spoilers for Nuriko if you haven't seen up to ep. 8 or so. I'm contemplating a fic to follow up this songfic - 'cuz some people were bugging me to write one... ^_^ You know who you are... But, I figure I'll let that lie for a while. Hope you enjoy the fic! (Added: March 7, 1999)

Sacred Trust

This fic is my very first Fushigi Yuugi fanfic. Please be kind... It is about Nuriko's childhood, from Kourin's birth to her death. If you don't like spoiler information, I would suggest that you not read either of these fics - they're both chock full of spoilers. Basically, this is an in depth look at Nuriko, and what helped to make *ahem* her what she is, today. ^_^ I suppose that you could say this is the prequel/prologue to Osozaki Blooms the way it's turned out...

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 3.5 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 **NEW--5/6/02**

There is now fanart for this series! They were drawn by Katie, a truly wonderful person. If you want to know more, go check out the pictures!

Osozaki Blooms is the sequel to Sacred Trust and picks up about seven years after that fic leaves off. This fic can be read without reading Sacred Trust first, but it makes more sense if you've read Sacred Trust. For the most part, I'm true to the storyline (and yes, there are spoilers ^_^) but at certain parts I take a wild swing off of it. Hey, that's what fics are for, ne? ^_^ Anyway, This fic is unfinished, though I do intend to finish it eventually. (Sure, that's what you always say, Renee... ^_^) *ahem* Well, uh, yeah - that's all I really had to say about these fics... *g* I know, get on with it, already, right?

The Cast List
The Scarlet Pimpernel (teaser)

OK - everyone's entitled to a little silliness now and again, ne? I saw this musical over Thanksgiving and absolutely fell in love with it. *smiles* Eventually, I'll put up a summary of the actual story so that people have an idea of what they're getting into before they read this fic, but it's 4 AM and I've been studying for a Calc final for too long... :-P Anyway, I just wanted to put up this little teaser for people to peek at. ^_^ Basically, this will be the story of the Scarlet Pimpernel with the Fushigi Yuugi cast taking the place of all the main characters - and instead of being set in France and England, it's set in Kutou and Konan. I've been having a lot of fun writing this and I hope you have as much reading it. Hopefully it won't take me too long to finish and won't take me away from Osozaki Blooms for too long... *smiles* Oh - and thanks to Kai Ling and Nellie for helping me cast the roles for this fic. *grins* I think that's everything...

Note: The characters in these fics, and the anime/manga of Fushigi Yuugi do not belong to me. They belong to Watase Yuu-sama and all the other wonderful people that created Fushigi Yuugi for us to enjoy. The stories, however, do belong to me. If you'd like to post them on a webpage, please e-mail me and let me know, so I can link to your page. Arigato, minna!
