What is Davis Community Meals?

Davis Community Meals (DCM) is a non profit, non-denominational volunteer organization whose purpose is to provide low-income individuals food, shelter and other services in a community setting. Operating since 1990, DCM currently serves a free meal twice a week, runs a year round homeless shelter in Davis as well as a resource and referral center.

DCM serves two meals a week at St. Martin Church in Davis.
DCM was created at the initiative of the Episcopal Church of St. Martin in Davis and was joined shortly thereafter by numerous other religious and civic organizations as well as independent supporters. Membership, over the years has exceeded 600 individuals and 50 organized groups who lend their support through volunteer service, financial and inkind contributions. Over 500 individuals were served by the shelter and resource center in 1997 alone.
