AFF: A nickname for the newsgroup alt.fan.furry. Also known as alt.flame.furry and Birthplace of all Flamewars. See furry. ALF: A nickname for the newsgroup alt.lifestyle.furry. Can also be used for the IRC channel #alf. furry: One who enjoys anthropomorphic comics and/or art. Mongoose.net is a great place for neophytes to furry. fursuit: A suit made out of fur. The most common examples of these are mascot costumes. But there are people who do this for fun. (Like me!) Nic's Fursuit Pages is a great place to learn about fursuits and how to make them. Gillig: Make of city buses. Transmissions tend to drop without warning. LTV: Light transit vehicle. Like an airport shuttle with a wheelchair lift. MCI: Not the phone company. A make of over-the-road tour buses. Like Greyhound's, but nicer. sputzie: A dialect term for a house sparrow. squick: To do something which will intentionally gross out or bother someone. yiff: Has various definitions, but is generally used as a euphemism for sex. |
