I have an announcement to make!

I want everyone to know that I am marrying the most wonderful man in the world.

Today I schlocked my way into work, feeling down and tired. I opened the door of the trailer. What did I see sitting on my desk?

A pink and white and purple and blue flower arrangement, with a "Happy Birthday" balloon floating cheerfully over the whole thing.

He sent me flowers!

Although it's quite the girly thing to feel, I love getting flowers. Just looking at flowers, even in a park or something, makes me feel all happy and cheerful and glad to be alive. To have these wonderful things sent to me by someone I love makes me feel totally awesome.

Better now. Anyway, the flowers are sitting on my dining room (err, dining nook) table, and the balloon is bobbing merrily around the first floor. (...scaring the bejezuz out of Jaws every time she catches sight of it, as well.)

I was feeling run down today because of what I've been doing. Today was my seventeenth straight working. I haven't had a day off since Dave and I returned from Anthrocon. It starts to wear on you, knowing that "today, I have to go into work - again."

Tomorrow is my birthday. I am not working. I am not doing anything, since the official birthday party will be on Sunday. I will sleep until I wake up naturally. I may spend the entire day in my pajamas. I may spend the bulk of my day scanning comic book covers.

But the important thing is that I have nothing that I have to do tomorrow. I don't have to be anywhere. I don't have to see anyone. It's my birthday, and I'm going to have a "me-day."

...and it starts now. I'm going to go smell my flowers and try not to cry for joy.
