Today I went to the bookstore up by the mall before work. There is a book I've been wanting to get, and I wanted to browse through the magazines before I went to the office.

As much as I hate the Big Corporate Stores that are popping up everywhere, pushing out the locally run stores, I go to them because I know they'll have what I need. I also go to them because they're busy. I hate it when I walk into a small, uncrowded store and the clerk falls all over themselves asking me if I need help. Just let me shop. When I'm one of the only people in the store, I feel like the clerk is always watching me. I mean, what else are they going to do?

Ick.

Anyway, I went to the store and wandered around trying to find this book I wanted. But I couldn't find their biography section. I don't think they actually have one, come to think of it. So I wasted almost half an hour trying to find the book by myself. (That's another reason why I don't like clerks - I prefer to find things on my own.) I finally gave up and asked someone for help.

The guy looked up the title and took me right to it, picking the book off the shelf and handing it to me. Which is a shame, really. I like to see the titles around the book I'm getting, since I tend to buy books in chunks. Lots of books on one subject give me a nice overview of the topic.

I wandered around some more, squatting to look at the magazines and checking out which graphic novels they had in stock. Then I checked out and left.

Went to Burger King for lunch, where the drive-thru guy didn't give me a straw and I didn't realize it until I was half way to work. Hmph. Walked in work, sat down...

And realized that my fly was wide open, showing off my nice white panties.

... The day just went downhill from there. I'll spare you the details.
