She is ignorant of the storm. She goes about her play, not listening to the radio reports which do not interest her. Music and talk, music and talk... Her attention is short, and her mind wanders elsewhere. As the storm approaches, low rumblings can be heard from the distance. She continues to ignore the sounds, intent on her fun. Once in an occasion, she thinks she hears something, and she runs to the window to look... But nothing looks out of the ordinary. She puts the subject out of her mind. Bedtime. She climbs the stairs, going about her night-time rituals, stretching before getting into bed. A great yawn erupts from her mouth, and she settles her head down as the light turns off. Flash! She opens her eyes in the dark, her body tense. A clap of thunder sounds from afar, and she freezes, staring at the blinded windows. Another flash, another rumble... She flees for the safety of the closet. It's locked. Locked! How did it get locked! She cannot enter her haven. She cries, pacing the hallway, unsure of what action to take next. The storm draws ever closer; the flashes are more brilliant and the thunder begins to shake the walls. She dashes back into the bedroom, ducking under the covers, shivering in terror. The other body in the bed sighs tolerantly, and rolls over to make room. She cuddles up under an arm, hidden from the storm. The thunder roars, the lightening dazzles, but she is protected from the horrible weather. As the wind dies and the storm fades into the distant night, she relaxes. Her terror fades, and she allows herself to drift off to sleep. Jaws does not like thunderstorms. Not one bit.
