As mentioned in the factors and principles of TB Control, TB is a poor man disease. Generally speaking, poor people are also ignorant and malnourished - thus making them more prone to this disease, Afghanistan is a typical case for this phenomenon.
It costs almost US $40 worth of drugs to treat one TB patient. Investigations, hospitalization, extra diet and administration costs another US$ 30 per patient.
YOU CAN HELP IN CONTROLLING TB IN AFGHANISTAN BY:

- Provide Laboratory equipment and chemicals.
- X-ray machine and X-ray films.
- Hospital equipment like electric generators, hospital beds and other furniture.
