The Watchers' Society

You Are Always Being Watched!!!

See Duncan, Methos (a.k.a. Adam--a watcher and immortal), and Joe Dawson

The Watcher's Society is a seret orginization that observes and records the lives of the immortals. The watchers are mortals---with the rare exception, such as Methos, or, as the watchers know him, Adam. Watchers 'never' interfere with the immortals...in fact, most immortals don't even know that they exist, except for Duncan, Amanda, Methos, Darius (when he was alive) and a very few others. Amanda once asked the watcher, Joe Dawson, if they watched "everything?" Joe simply replied that they watch everything they can't get arrested for. In other words, they watch, they don't pry. Besides, they have their own individual lives to live as well.

Hear the Dialogue between Amanda and Joe when they first met at Joe's:

Amanda: "I hear you're one of those guys who likes to watch."
Joe: "It's....uh....clinical. For history. We don't get involved.
Amanda: "Mmm. So tell me, um.....do you watch us do.....everything?"
Joe: "Only the things I can't get arrested for."
Amanda: *giggles* "I like this guy!"

One is most likely to find a watcher in a library, or antique store. It's an inconspicuous way to store their records and files. They probably know more about the immortals, than the immortals know about themselves! Also, watchers are easily idetified by a tattoo inside of their wrist, though, over the centuries, the symbol has included the forms of a medallion pendant, and various other ways of identifying them.
The Watcher's Symbol looks like this:

A quick piece of trivia:

Remember this symbol for the next time you watch Home Improvement. On the set of Tool Time in the back of the shop, there is a small, but visible, brown-colored picture hanging on the wall. Any ideas how it got there? E-mail me with your ideas!
